Markets and workshops anchor the schedule
Shoppers can visit the Mercado de las Pulgas de Usaquén on Calle 116 between Carreras 6 and 7 each Saturday starting at 8 a.m. Vendors sell used books, vinyl records and local snacks. On the same day the Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez in La Candelaria runs a free printmaking workshop for adults from 10 a.m. to noon at Calle 11 No. 5-51.
The Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá lists 87 events this week on its official platform. Entry to most markets stays free while workshops charge between 5,000 and 12,000 COP. Last July the same platform recorded 62,400 total participants across all community listings.
Practical steps to join
Residents should check the Secretaría de Cultura site or the district alcaldías pages before heading out. Arrive early at Usaquén to secure parking along Carrera 5 or take TransMilenio to the Calle 127 station. The La Candelaria workshop accepts walk-ins until seats fill.
