Galería La Cometa on Calle 70 in Chapinero will display works by 12 Colombian painters from July 18 through August 30. Nearby, the Espacio Odeón on Carrera 5 will run a film series on Friday nights featuring Colombian documentaries. In La Candelaria, the Teatro Colón has added three extra performances of a contemporary dance piece each weekend in July and August.
The Museo del Oro on Carrera 5 in La Candelaria extended its hours until 7 p.m. on Thursdays to accommodate visitors after work.
Numbers Behind the Season
Ticket prices start at 18,000 Colombian pesos for gallery entries and 35,000 pesos for evening theater shows. Last year's similar programming drew 42,000 attendees across the same four sites over six weeks, according to city tourism records.
